Social Experiment
CCA (California College of Arts) invited artists to participate in a week long craft activity.
For one week, a continuous batch of artists were to make pinch pots in a glass enclosed gallery.
This gallery is visible to anyone entering the CCA ceramics building. Artists were enouraged to dress in costume.
My friend Carol and I took the Wednesday afternoon shift, a guild of two! We decided that our theme
should be in keeping with the task at hand... pinch pots. We wanted to honor the hands of
anonymous crafts persons.
To be anonymous, we dramatically altered our appearance (wigs and glasses). Here are a few photos of us in costume.
